This is the next release of Apache Hadoop 2.7 line. It is a successor to the previous stable release 2.7.5, which was available since December 14, 2017. Apache Hadoop 2.7.6 includes 46 issues fixed after the 2.7.5 release, which are critical bug fixes and optimizations. It particularly enables POSIX groups support for LDAP groups mapping service.
