A community is important. It does not need to, and indeed it would be
better if it did not, come entirely from your company. If, for example, a
cadre of people came along and said "Oh, yes, please!", I feel that we would
be likely to accept such a project.
Out of curiousity, do you have a URL for the code, for people who would like
to see it and get a better feel?
