The Apache OpenWhisk (incubating) community is happy to announce that the Apache OpenWhisk Composer 0.9.0-incubating module has been released. This is the first Apache release of this module.
Apache OpenWhisk (Incubating) is an open source, distributed Serverless platform that executes functions (fx) in response to events at any scale. The OpenWhisk platform supports a programming model in which developers write functional logic (called Actions), in any supported programming language, that can be dynamically scheduled and run in response to associated events (via Triggers) from external sources ( Feeds) or from HTTP requests. The Apache OpenWhisk Composer module supports a new programming model for composing cloud functions built on Apache OpenWhisk. Incubation is required of all newly accepted projects until a further review indicates that the infrastructure, communications, and decision making process have stabilized in a manner consistent with other successful ASF projects. While incubation status is not necessarily a reflection of the completeness or stability of the code, it does indicate that the project has yet to be fully endorsed by the ASF.
