Hi everyone, Apache Fory entered the Apache Incubator in December 2023 and has shown consistent progress in adopting the Apache Way through:
Project Achievements - Releases: 13 ASF-compliant releases since incubation (0.5.0 to 0.11.1), managed by 4 different release managers - Community Growth: - 70+ new contributors attracted to the project - 6 new committers added, with 1 of them promoted to PPMC - Diverse user adoption across industries - Branding Resolution: Completed Fury→Fory rename after trademark review - Infrastructure: Full migration to Fory namespace (repos, release, website, mailing lists) - Transparency: All discussions occur on public lists Maturity Validation: The project has prepared a maturity model showing readiness for graduation [1] Governance: We have also confirmed the initial PMC membership on their private list, and selected a chair/VP. Community Consensus: We have also conducted a discussion[2] and vote[3] on fory community for graduating as Top-Level project, and the Fory Community also reached consensus for graduation. After 18 months of incubation, we believe Apache Fory has reached maturity where continued incubation offers diminishing benefits. This email opens discussion on graduating to TLP status.
