Dear IPMC Members, Following the graduation discussion [1], which concluded with positive feedback and no objections, the Apache Teaclave (Incubating) PPMC is now calling a formal vote to graduate Apache Teaclave as a Top-Level Project (TLP).
The vote will be open for at least 72 hours. We kindly request your participation in this vote. Voting options: [ ] +1 Graduate as Top-Level Project [ ] +0 No opinion [ ] -1 Do not graduate (please provide rationale) Apache Teaclave (Incubating) [2] entered the Apache Incubator on August 20, 2019. Over the past years, Teaclave has built a robust and diverse open-source community focused on enabling memory-safe Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) applications. The project provides a family of SDKs [3, 4] supporting a wide range of confidential computing platforms, including Arm TrustZone and Intel SGX. During incubation, the project has achieved the following: - Grown to 29 committers, including 13 PPMC members (9 original, 4 added during incubation), 7 new committers added during incubation, and 9 mentors over time (including 3 currently inactive). - Built a community with 79 unique contributors from over 15 organizations across academia and industry. - Completed 9 Apache releases managed by 5 different release managers. - Established a strong and transparent development process via mailing lists and GitHub. - Cleared trademark, IP, and licensing reviews with no issues reported [6, 7]. Graduation Readiness: - Maturity Validation: The community has completed a full Podling Maturity Assessment [5]. - Community Consensus: The community has held discussion and a successful vote [8] to proceed with graduation. - Community Governance: The PPMC has confirmed the proposed initial PMC and nominated a Chair via the private list [1].
