Hi,

Yes, the trend is based on the windows. Currently, it compares the short/3
3-month to the medium/6 6-month and long/12-month windows. So, taking an
example, if it says "Unique committers: 41 (↗↗)”, the arrows indicate that the
trend is up, and the number of arrows gives a feel for how much. As teh periods
are of unequal lengths, it is calculated on a month-by-month basis. A single
arrow is 10-25% change, two arrows are 25-100%, and 3 arrows are > 100% change.
Some of the arrows are “flipped” e.g. days between releases as smaller numbers
are better. In short, the windows provide the raw data, and the trends
highlight whether an activity is increasing, decreasing, or steady when
comparing to a longer window.

Kijnd Regards,
Justin
