Hi all,

I have been looking at the proposed PMC list and have some questions I'd like
the PPMC to address before we proceed.

I've done a basic review of GitHub activity (PRs authored, PRs reviewed, issues
opened and commented on) and the [email protected] mailing list over the
past year. From that review, some proposed PMC members appear to have had
limited activity, while several other contributors not on the proposed PMC list
appear to have been significantly more active.

I'd like to ask the PPMC to explain how the initial PMC list was selected. In
particular, what criteria were used, and were active contributors who are not
on the list considered?

I want to be clear that I recognise there are many ways to contribute to a
project beyond what is visible on GitHub and the mailing list archives. My
review may not capture the full picture, contributions through mentoring,
community building, and other activities are not fully reflected in those
metrics I looked at. So I am asking for clarification on how this group was
selected, and while there seems to be some obvious omissions, thanks in advance
for the explanation.

Kind Regards,
Justin
