The Apache Auron (Incubating) community is pleased to announce the release
of Apache Auron (Incubating) 8.0.0.

Auron is dedicated to improving the efficiency and elasticity of different
data processing engines. It provides high-performance native execution and
efficient intermediate data processing, including shuffle data, spilled
data, and result data.

Apache Auron 8.0.0-incubating significantly expands Flink integration,
native scan support for Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, and Apache Paimon,
native expression and function coverage, cross-version compatibility, and
runtime reliability.

Major highlights include:

- Broader Apache Flink integration and native Kafka source support
- Native scan support for Apache Iceberg, Apache Hudi, and Apache Paimon
- Additional native expressions, functions, window functions, and join
  conditions
- Support for Apache Spark 4.0 and 4.1 build workflows
- Improved correctness testing, observability, and runtime stability

Starting from v6.0.0, Auron only provides a source distribution because
the project supports many different build options. Users can build Auron
with their own environment and options or use GitHub Actions after forking
the repository.
