Hi, I believe this is the forum to raise problems with CVS - please let me know if I am wrong.
I have jakarta-jetspeed checked out anonymously, but it only allows you to do basic cvs operations, eg cvs update, or cvs diff to show your changes. It does not allow you to do "cvs diff" to see changes between versions or to do a "cvs update -d" to get any new directories that have been added. When you try these options, you get an error: eg "cvs -f up -d" gives this: cvs server: Updating . cvs update: in directory bin: cvs update: cannot open CVS/Entries for reading: No such file or directory cvs [update aborted]: cannot write <CVS/Template file>: No such file or directory If I create a bin/CVS directory - things work better - perhaps bin should not be in CVS? And if I try this diff, "cvs diff -D 20011101 -D 20011001" I get: Terminated with fatal signal 11 Core dumped; preserving /tmp/cvs-serv92907 on server. CVS locks may need cleaning up. This is NOT helped by creating a bin/CVS directory.
