I'm not sure an Apache wide newsletter is a bad idea, but I'd prefer a subdivision as if every project provides as detailed of information, it is unlikely that I'll read it.
I'd like to say I "care" what is going on in the PHP community, for instance, but since I never use PHP and it rarely effects me, I only "care" dutifully and not naturally.
