Hello, Apache James folks.

Well, I want to introduce Pure Java Mailing List Management
System -- born in Japan, named "Majavdomo".

Before that, here is my history of the committership of
the apache/jakarta...

I had come to be interested in Jakarta-Projects because
I'd sought pure java MLMS (MailingList Management System) via google
and finally found in Japan (Majavdomo = Majardomo + Java).
Then I noticed that this MLMS could run over the JAMES Mail Server
(it was just one year ago, June:July 2002)
and became curious in James Server and translated the site of JAMES
into Japanese and ....(long way) .. finally I became one of a
committer in Apache recently :-)

I've thought for a long time that it might be wonderful if this MLMS
would become one of the projects in Jakarta, and fortunately,
James has come to have it's own PMC and is E-Mail Related Project,
so I've just had a humble idea that this MLMS might be better to
become one of the James subprojects.

This MLMS is now under MIT License and can be run over
various MTAs, platform independent.
Also, this is originally from japan, so i18n issue is
well-thought-out and this has Pluggable-Module functionalities.

I use this mailing list management system on James server and
I think this's durable enough to be run on the business level
(also, I think this might be used as one of marketing tools).

However, unfortunately, the documents are mostly written in japanese
(half of the documents are translated into English)

If there are someone who interested in Majavdomo, please
let me know. I can send the binary file and english translated
documents.

Any suggestions and opinions would be appriciative.

Sincerely,

Tetsuya ([EMAIL PROTECTED])

P.S. If you are interested in other MLMS, try to download
FML (http://www.fml.org/index.html.en), written in Perl.
This MLMS is also born in japan, however, I think this is
the most useful MLMS I've ever met. --- kick out ezmlm! ;-)
