Because we are the Project Management Commitee, and it is our
responsibility to resolve issues like these. There is confusion
regarding what version number will be "next" for James, the PMC should
resolve that confusion.

This my vote is only binding for James Server releases.
jSPF for example may establish another versioning scheme.

If this is agreed and understood by a majority of people working on
jSPF then the PMC is likely not to have any interest.
