Salam all.. we are having a fresh start in terms on our internet presence .. New mailing list, new site, and so on .. inshala this time we will have a better presence, and make things that were wrong last time right ..
One of the things is that I added JoLUG to the mail-archive.com .. that means all emails of JoLUG mailing list will be archived by a third partly, in addition to our own archive .. Another thing is that I will make better backups, I aim at having weekly backups, at my home box, and other remote boxes that I will have access to.. I am about to install a CMS for JoLUG .. the first option is "Tikiwiki" that we had been using before .. another option is Plone (plone.org) .. I am considering trying plone just for the fun of it (I know that doesn't sound like a good enough reason) .. but if doesn't provide everything we need, I will fall back to tikiwiki in days .. We have now 22 members in the mailing list ( there were 100+ before) .. I will work on adding more names from the names of those who sent emails to the mailing lists recently .. if you know anyone who was not added (didn't get the welcome message) please tell him/her not to take it personally, and resubscribe ..
