Dear Mr. Jamil Obeid, The Information Technology Association of Jordan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) is pleased to invite you to attend its second seminar on Open Source software to be held from 26-27 July 2005. The meeting, entitled "Open Source Opportunities Seminar", is a follow-up to the first workshop which was held in December 2002. At that time Open Source software (OS) was still a very new topic in Jordan. Therefore, the earlier meeting concentrated on establishing a basic understanding of Open Source and its potential. This year's seminar builds on that foundation by focusing attention on the opportunities that OS offers for Jordan not only its IT sector but also the academic, financial and government communities as well. Members of the business community will derive special benefit from the presentations covering OS business models and ways of generating money while embracing OS, as well as those exploring the tools and methods other Open Source software developers and solutions providers have used. Whether or not you attended the first meeting you will be pleased to learn about some of the exciting advances that have been made in OS since then during the interesting and informative presentations that will be made by a distinguished group of regional and international specialists.
