Dear JoLUG members
My name is Toshihiko TAKEUCHI from Japan.
Japanese International Cooperation Ajency (JICA) send me to Jordan
this April for technical cooperation between Jordan and Japan.
I am living in Wadi Mousa and teaching in Al-Hussein Bin Talal
University (AHU).
Now, I am trying to introduce Linux operating system into AHU.
Because they use only MS-Windows for their study and education materials.
I think Linux is suitable especialy for educational organization such
like university.
Resentry, the university prepared a room with some PCs for me.
And I installed FEDRA CORE 4 into those PCs and named the room "Linux Lab".
I want to have lectures such as "Programming on Linux" and "WEB
Programming".
I have experience in UNIX system development for 20 years in japanese
company.
So, I hope this project will help joranian student to get knowledge of
Linux.
During the study on Linux, some problems may happen especialy with arabic
language handling.
(This kind of problems are sometimes very difficult to solve for japanese)
In such case I may beg your help.
Please help me in shuch situation.
Sincerely yours,
Toshihiko Takeuchi
