Hello you all,

the first time i ever heard that linux existed was though ammar in mets, and i am sure people would try it out and a couple of them might actually like it! :) especially if you give them ORIGINAL Ubuntu cd! ppl will take it more seriously than just a copy.

anyways, not that i can help in anyway, just think you should do METS.

Cheers from London,

Saif A.

Subject : [JoLUG-General] METS?
Dear all,

Any plans for participating in this year's METS?
Apparently it's scheduled on 6-12 December (http://www.mets.com.jo), I don't know if it's too late to coordinate such a thing.

I'm thinking we could hand out knoppix, ubuntu cds. Have a couple of machines running for display. Talk to people about free software, linux, gnu, freebsd, bla bla bla in order to brainwa^H^H^H^H^H^H introduce the masses to this OS/ideaology ;-)

Btw I did get acquantied with JoLUG during METS, so I do believe its a great way to have exposure to IT people.

 Cheers...
