ummm, volume?

i'm not kidding, did you check the volume? use 'alsamixer' to unmute the master and pcm volumes, use the "m" key to unmute (that happened to me once, i was stumped).
and crank up the volume ;-)

Hello guys,
I just installed Debian Sarge on my machine, and my sound card isn't working. I have kernel 2.6.8, and i installed ALSA 1.0.8. My sound card is Sound Blaster Live! 24-Bit, which should be supported by ALSA 1.0.8, and when i run alsaconf, it sees my card, and works till the end smoothly. Only problem, i still don't have any sound.
Any ideas guys?
