No problem, but this is a very different question!
APL had probably the most influence on the design of J, and
articles on
APL and J previously mentioned should help here. There is also a
lab in
the system, "Mathematical Roots of J".
I don't think Mathematica had any influence on J, though perhaps
APL had
a minor influence on Mathematica.
