ouch. and i thought the germans and english were bad (grin).

ehich lead to my Father's comment:

May I recommend my own satement of Russell's paradox Resoled (also on
Author's Den among other mu/sings):

Russell's Paradox is in fact resolved by Stanislaw Lesniewski, of the Polish
School of Logic.

See his works at UNC Chapel Hill, Notre Dame, or the Polish School of Logic.

It is also the case that Godel's Theorem, while correct, is badly
misinterpreted. The law of the excluded middle is a theorem, and context
sensitive languages CAN be consistent AND complete.

Russell's Paradox is not a paradox at the verge of the empty set or the edge
of the categorical; a statement may be interpreted as either true _or_ false
if the set of objects involved is in fact empty at all times within the
domain of discussion.

Can it be both if the set of objects is in fact not empty?

One weakness of modern Godel axiomatic R&W context free language based
mathematics is that it is difficult to talk about subjects where this may be
in fact true , or at least not either one or the other until you look.

Modern physics talks about quantum unit bits, superposition, and
Schroedinger's Qat being neither dead nor alive until someone looks to see.

Would it not be much easier just to say that a thing might indeed be both
true and false (as well as neither true nor false) all at the same time?

George Spencer-Brown would laugh at the difficulties we are having with this
simple elementary concept...

 ------------------------------

*Russell's paradox*

*De Facto
*

*A paradox is not a paradox
*

*
*

* In re, 're in re' is 're isn't in re'
*

*
*

*The thing about things is
*

* that some things are things
*

* that are not all the things they are
*

*And if that thing is so
*

* then if some thing is the thing that is the 'in'
*

* in that thing and also is and isn't in that 'in'
*

*            in that thing
*

*then the thing that is and isn't that thing that's in that thing
*

* that is no thing, is no thing and is all the things there is
*

*            in that thing.
*

*And that is so, and is not so
*

* when then, what is so is also not so
*

* And only then when what's so is not what's so
*

* (is what's so not so)
*

*And that is so
*

*AND that's not so
*

*If so (Fact, though).
*

*
*

*I say it's so
*

*Ipse, ipso
*

*And so I say
*

*Ipso, ipse
*

*      Is that so?
*

*      Yes or no?
*

*That THAT that, oh ho
*

*is so (it's so!)
*

*an if so, facto.

Noting the presence of paths leading through what should be fixed based
empty categoricals
that in turn are seldom analyzed or letrified or _accounted_ as alwys BeiNG
eversomuchmoreso
alays empty, leds to a tremendouly wide variety of analysis faiures in
programs,

leding to temendous number of failures of programs to work correctly,
becuse of the prsene of original amnalysis and design errors leadng to such
failures.

which is why the undefined value in J is so important.

It corresponds roughly to the Aisan concept of yes, no, _mu_:

The answr lies outside the bounds of the discussion or limits of the
categories provided.

which may be the single most prolific source of errors in modern Wester
science, philosophy, _AND_ faith.

When you presume you cannot get it wrong withoutever squrly facing that
is what is being done,

you get hung by your own Petard.

Continuously.

Same in Mathematics and J as wll as any plac ele.

I is just he case hat I sense a little bit less of the opportunity fo this
error in J
and a little bit less of the _practie_ of it by the prcticioners of J,

than in alot of other "scientific" and "mathematical" arenas I have seen,.

May it ever be on the improvement: if not, likely the apostate wil be in
effect.

Cheers.
