"-ad" represents a suffix which can be attached to a word to denote a
collective or "set". For example, "dyad" and "triad" meaning "set of
two", "set of three". "Monad" is sort-of "set of one". The same suffix
turns up in, for example, "Iliad" ("collection of tales about Troy") and
"Olympiad" ("period of four years between Olympic games").

"-ic" represents another suffix meaning roughly "having the property of".

Note that "-ic" is the Latinised spelling and a truncation: in Greek
there would be a gender/case ending ("-ikos", for example).

FWIW, I think that "anadic" makes no sense at all in terms of Greek,
since "an-" is a prefix (conveying the meaning "not"), rather than a
numeral (as in monad, dyad, etc). However, my Greek is extremely rusty.
