Thanks for your input on my talk title and abstract. This is what I
decided upon. Sorry for not knowing the originators for some of the
quotes

"Code Less Computing"
(or Computing with Less Code)

Abstract:

Are you tired of coding/programming when you just want the computer to
do what you have in mind without going into details? If so than this
talk is for you. It is for people who want to communicate with the
computer without having to program at the level of the computer but at
the same level as their thought processes. High level operations are
desirable because they directly represent natural units of thought. "The
argument that Leibniz used when he introduced and standardized the
familiar mathematical symbols is still valid. Through proper symbolism,
" indeed the labour of thought is wonderfully diminished" [Cajori,
1929].. High level operations help in chunking which helps the human to
deal with complexity that is mainly there because of detail. You want a
way of using the computer where "if you say it" it is done. You want a
language for "trying out crazy ideas quickly". J ( nothing to do with
Java)is such a language. J is also "an executable notation for
computations in that it not only provides a consistent notation but also
one that is executable".
