Basically: I don't generally try for a certain sentence length. Instead, I try to make sure I have a good concept for what the data looks like -- going into the sentence, and coming out. I try for sentences which transform the data in ways I'm happy with -- as one of my higher priorities. (But I do worry about sentence length if it looks too long -- off the edge of my editor, for instance.) -- Raul
