On my machine it is working on Windows.
Please be sure that you are not using previous
location of image3 addon. It should be located
at ~addons/media/image3. To be sure, remove any
folders with image3 that you have inside or near j601 folder,
and reinstall the addon with Package Manager.
Also before write_image, are all other test lines
in the view_m.ijs file working?
Also confirm that you have j601c binary installed.
media/image3 addon does not have any addon dependencies.
Finally, I would check if the DLLs dependencies are
satisfied. Open them in depends.exe or alike.
