Due to the help, expertise and patience of Eric Iverson, I am happy to report that I now have a working version of 64-bit J for Fedora Core 6 (Linux) on Intel x86_64 hardware.
Using a 64-bit version of Java, I was able to get jw working out of the box, and there were no problems in the shared libraries: the only problem was with jconsole. Eric has worked his magic, and supplied me with a fixed version of jconsole, which will be incorporated into j602. I am now able to run jconsole from the command line and under emacs, as well as being able to run jw and jee. Thanks to Eric for coming through big on this one: I really appreciate his help and the service provided by jsoftware. Best wishes, John ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
