Well Alex... I could fulfill all your points since I rarely have a clue about what I am doing. But it so happens that I am the one who has the least intensive "no clue" feeling around here (Chicago). Compared to the posts I recall from you I am in "baby steps mode" and I have been doing it for over 33 years now.
My remedy is to take a ukulele and do some sing-along with a bunch of "really no clue whatsoever" people that I love. But there is a possible solution to your problem... What about an international J-User group which uses some of the modern teleconference software (or maybe hook it up to J)... Give it some though and "just do it" "a la Nike".
