Here's a realatively simple demo of the issue I am talking about
require 'dates plot'
label=: [:}:@;('"', '" ',~ ":)each
demo=:3 :0
ts=:32e5*2044791 2044818 2044845 2044872 2044899 2044926
ht=:-584 594 572 583 572 572
pd'reset'
NB.pd'xticpos ',":ts
NB.pd'xlabel ',label 3' -'&charsub&.>@<@":@{."1]1 tsrep ts
pd'color blue,red'
pd ts;ht,:_587
pd'show'
)
If I remove the NB. in front of the xticpos and xlabel lines, the plot
gets a lot of extra white space to the left and to the right of my
data.
This effect becomes even more pronounced with less data (for example,
restricting ts and ht to their first three values).
Note: this is a simplified demo -- in "real life", I've got more data points,
but they do not seem to matter for this issue.
FYI,
