J 6's support for nouns in forks lets you mix arithmetic with algebra, using named verbs (perhaps undefined) as placeholder variables 3 = 0.5 * 9.8 * t ^ 2: (6%9.8) = t ^ 2: (9.8*%:6%9.8) = 9.8 * t
