2!:2 is for IO (file input/output) - I think you are
looking for 2!:0 --
I like to use a cover function that always returns a result:
host =: [: 2!:0 '('"_ , ] , ' || true)'"_
e.g.
host 'w'
1:49pm up 18 days, 17:04, 1 user, load average: 0.04, 0.07, 0.02
USER TTY FROM LOGIN@ IDLE JCPU PCPU WHAT
