I spent less time on the Mac and Linux instructions so any help in those
sections is greatly appreciated.

I can see this is not very clear. I'm using Jinstall to refer to the J
installation folder. I'm using SYSTEM as a "variable" to refer to the location
for installing applications so they are available system wide. It depends on
the OS and for Mac I've suggested that that location is /Applications. If you
look at the table following this one you will see that it mirrors your
understanding. For a Standard Install, Jinstall is located in HOME
(HOME/Jinstall). For a System Install, Jinstall is located in SYSTEM
(SYSTEM/Jinstall).
I have added a "definition" for SYSTEM, but perhaps there is a better
solution/name that would make things less confusing?

I agree that it would be easy to get lost on the page. Adding the OS name to
the front of the title on the page but not in the TOC would be painful because
the TOC is currently created automatically from the titles. I'm currently
thinking that perhaps the best option move the different OS sections to
separate sub-pages and link to them, much like the current
jwiki/System/Installation page.

Thanks!
