Recently I worked out how to display the contents of IJS scripts in the Window
Vista/Windows 7 Explorer Preview Pane.

I've found it a very useful way of quickly inspecting the contents of .ijs
scripts so I thought I'd share it in case others found it useful too.

The easiest way of doing this is probably to just extend the
registerIJSfiles.reg that is given on the following wiki page and merge it to
your Registry:
<http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/Guides/Auto Open>

All that is required is to add three additional lines to the end of the .reg
file:
======== additional lines for registerIJSfiles.reg ==============
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\J_script_file\ShellEx]

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\J_script_file\ShellEx\{8895b1c6-b41f-4c1c-a562-0d564250836f}]
@="{1531d583-8375-4d3f-b5fb-d23bbd169f22}"
=================================================================

Remember to back up your Registry first and to edit the path to your j.exe file
in the .reg file before merging it to your Registry.

If you want to understand this technique or use it for other files then the
following article will be of interest. Note too that the page includes a link
to a GUI application that you can download to edit the registry for you
(haven't tried it myself though).
