Aside from the pocket pc troubles: getting J into the programs/applications 
where it belongs, I find that incidentally, clicking on the pretty red J on my 
MacBook Pro desk top does nothing except flash. I once again have to dig around 
to get things going.

i find myself retreating to my TI nspire CAS and to Wolfram Alpha and Wikipedia 
and am thinking more and more of retreating to Visual Basic again.
