That's because there's a bug in the display/formatting of certain bonded conjunctions [1][2]. The code rendered by the formatter does not produce the object it is representing. I had to correct that manually before I posted the fully fixed form of ae . Roger says a fix isn't obvious [3]. > Which leaves me with an issue which I think might > even be appropriate for general: The way I understand it, General is for reporting problems with installation, configuration, etc. Chris' world. Beta is for reporting bugs in betas. Other bugs, in particular bugs in the interpreter or Dictionary (Roger's world), should be reported in Programming. I'm not sure where frontend bugs (Eric's world) should be reported. Chris can correct me if I'm wrong. Personally, I like to record bugs at the Wiki as well (or in lieu, if the bug isn't of general interest), so it doesn't fall through the cracks. See [2] for an example. -Dan [1] http://www.jsoftware.com/pipermail/programming/2009-August/015897.html [2] http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/System/Interpreter/Bugs#displayofbondedconjunctionsbuggy [3] http://www.jsoftware.com/pipermail/programming/2009-August/016011.html ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
