Thanks bill for your assistance on this one ... Some overview of my tests:
0. I am fully setup through http://localhost:631. (CUPS/HP) .. on all other programs both the print and print-setup commands work just fine ... J is the exception. 1. "wd 'mbprinter' " provides exactly what I would expect for a "Print Setup" menu item. It has the tabs for General/PageSetup/Appearance .. unfortunately it just doesn't function at all! 2. While my printer is commonly set to use "letter" sized paper somthing within J insists in resetting the page size to "B7". 3. "wd 'mbprinter pd printsetup' " does work for a single print instance although only allowing the "Media"(PageSetup) adjustment .... and unfortunately it is not persistent in the system and needs to be refreshed before every single print call, even consecutive calls. Not very satisfactory. David On Tue, 2010-07-06 at 06:40 +0800, bill lam wrote: > The issue may also be why J cannot use you system printer default.
