You probably have a local copy of all the documentation, including the dictionary, on your machine if you've installed J and its packages. I don't know where things go on a Mac, but on my PC, I can find the vocabulary page here (for J7 under Windows 7): file:///D:/Program%20Files%20%28x86%29/j64-701/addons/docs/help/dictionary/vocabul.htm . You can search for this file "vocabul.htm" and browse to it as it's a good starting point for all the elements of the language.
