It's not holier than thou. It's defensive. I don't claim to know what
everyone else does. It is typically flamingly-liberal thinking which has
brought us to fear spanking our own children, and fear addressing those who
do not. The "government help in raising your children" approach has long
been championed by those who "oppose Bush" and the Republican platform. It
is the same group which believes that we are well within our rights to
destroy unborn children because they are inconvenient... which is akin to
bankruptcy because it's inconvenient to pay our debts. Obviously this
isn't going to gain me any friends. But these are called principles. The
idea is to have well-thought principles which are high-standards, and then
try to live by them. But then I do digress.
