I just bought the O'Reilly TCP/IP 2nd Ed. In the intro there is a short history of TCP/IP and it says ARPA funded to research and develop an experimental packet switching network. This became APARNET. After ARPANET became operational The Defense Information Systems got mixed in and in 1975 the military adopted TCP/IP in 1983 and it was then DARPA funded the implementation of TCP/IP to BSD. The last sentence of this paragraph I have roughly quoted says, "Thus began the marriage of Unix and TCP/IP." A couple of weeks ago I read in eWeek magazine that is against the rules to use any required protocols to access the internet?, I think that's what I understood. Where does SCO get off thinking that they could buy that doesn't belong to the seller??

Any clarification would be of great interest to me.
Thanks
Bob
