Bandel ---------------------------------------------- Nope, no joke. I don't know where the telephone company got their money, but optic cable is what they are doing. They have buried a gang of 4" pvc and even more 2" poly pipe and pulling optic cable through all of it. As for DSL. My 56k costs $20 over my phone bill. To get DSL I need to put out $49 more for the DSL plus another price (I think it's about $15) for another line. Comes to $70 a month. Great 'phone company. Great service, etc, but they are the only one in town, area. The area is about 40 miles up the Klamath River and 40 more down the river and up a few miles several of the big creeks where people live.
