And, unlike your store with sales tax - where nothing is given away for
free - if I give something away for free on the 'net, and the government
makes money on it, does that make me a slave laborer for the government?
Or will I get some tax credit from the government for the income I
generated for them by my unpaid labors?

I don't think the tax question is so very obvious. When telephones and
TVs were introduced, there was no direct tax on the receiver (caller
pays that) of a call or of a program. Will those be next?

BTW, in Sweden and I think most all of Europe, the tax on an item is
included in the price on the label. So, one is not constantly reminded
of the 25% tax on most items (only 12.5% on food). I think the U.S.
method where the sales tax is explicitly added is a better reminder.
Swedes joke about this odd store behavior in the U.S., but I think they
should have the same at home.
