Ah, safely home again, or am I. It worries me that a great product like Ubuntu has a close (hopefully unintended?) word association with a group of rabble rousers. Hmmm, maybe if's associations like this one that led that great bastion of truth, 60 Minutes, to list Linux as a commie inspired invader?
Well, I don't know really what is intended but the word "Ubuntu" does mean some dopey ecumenical nonsense like "humanity for everyone" or "I am who I am because of who we all are" depending on which explanation you read you read. (Translation: Give all your property, money, freedom and your soul to some oppressive government and all will be Utopia.)
Hopefully M. Shuttleworth and the very talented and industrious folk at Ubuntu and Canonical will stick to their knitting and just turn out great Linux and leave the unworkable ideology(s) to someone else.
