When the installer doesn't allow the use of the linux directoriy hierarchy
yes, /opt is a better choice. That's also true for unstables applications
which can conflict with stables versions (ie gnome 2.27, 2.29 etc.)

However, I don't like /opt. Is it possible to run the installer and move the
files in the right directories in the PKGBUILD ?
