En el marco de la realización de la decimoséptima reunión anual de LACNIC (LACNIC XVII), en la ciudad de Quito (Ecuador), tendrá lugar el "7mo Evento de Seguridad en Redes para América Latina y el Caribe" (LACSEC 2012). En esta ocasión, el Martes 8 de Mayo de 2012 contaremos con un espacio dedicado a "Presentaciones Breves" (Lightning Talks) sobre seguridad de la información, con el objetivo de posibilitar presentaciones que, por diversos motivos, no hayan sido enviadas al "Llamado a Presentaciones" formal de LACSEC 2012. Guia para la presentación de propuestas para "Presentaciones Breves" Las propuestas deberán realizarse teniendo en cuenta las siguientes consideraciones: * Se considerarán de interés todos aquellos temas directamente vinculados con al seguridad de la información * Las propuesta deberá incluir el título de la presentación, y un resumen (Abstract) de la misma * Se aceptarán propuestas presentadas en idioma inglés, portugués o español * Las propuestas deberán ser enviadas en formato Portable Document Format (PDF), o bien en el cuerpo de un mensaje de correo electrónico * Las presentaciones no podrán exceder los 15 minutos de duración (incluyendo el espacio para preguntas y respuestas) * Si excepcionalmente se necesitara un tiempo mayor para la presentación, deberá justificarse dicha necesidad, así como también podrá solicitarsele al autor información adicional sobre la presentación (como por ejemplo, borrador de las diapositivas). Envio de propuestas Los interesados en realizar una "Presentación Breve" (Lightning Talk) deberán enviar en el plazo establecido la siguiente información a la dirección de correo electrónico <[email protected]>: * Título de la presentación * Resumen de la misma. * Nombre completo, dirección de correo electrónico y afiliación del autor (o los autores) del trabajo Para mayor información, no dude en contactarnos a través del correo electrónico <[email protected]>. Evaluación de propuestas Dado el caracter informal de esta modalidad de presentaciones, no se realizará una evaluación formal de las propuestas. La aceptación de las mismas estará básicamente sujeta a la disponibilidad de tiempo, y cantidad de propuestas recibidas, teniendo mayor prioridad aquellas propuestas recibidas con mayor antelación. The "7th Network Security Event for Latin America and the Caribbean" will be held in Quito, Ecuador, within the framework of LACNIC's seventeenth annual meeting (LACNIC XVII). On May 8th, 2012, LACSEC 2012 will include a slot for "Lightning Talks" about information security, such that presentations that missed the formal LACSEC 2012 "Call for Presentations" can still be delivered to our community. Guidelines for Presenting "Lightning Talks" Proposals "Lightning Talks" proposals should be made according to the following guidelines: * The topic of interest is "information security" * Proposals should include the presentation title and an abstract. * Presentations can be delivered in English, Portuguese, or Spanish * Proposals must be sent in Portable Document Format (PDF), or in the body of an e-mail message * Presentations cannot exceed 15 minutes (including Questions & Answers) * Should additional time be needed for the presentation, the author should justify that need. Additionally, the LACSEC PC may request additional information (such as draft slides) Submitting a Proposal Proposals for "Lightning Talks" must be sent to <[email protected]>, and must include the following information: * Presentation Title * Abstract * Full name, e-mail address, and affiliation of the author(s) For additional information, please contact us at <[email protected]>.
