I was on the call and people thought that it was too late
in the release cycle (the day before Beta) to switch to
a new kernel since all the testing has been done on
2.6.20.

How about the EWG decided not to update to 2.6.21 for the OFED 1.2
release? I
was not on the conference call, and am only reporting this second-hand.
I care
because there is a fix in 2.6.21-rc3 that I've been asked to pull into
OFED 1.2.
So I either need to back that fix into the OFED kernel or update my
kernel
sa_cache branch to 2.6.21-rc3.
