Hal,
Nice to hear from you again. Currently when I ping the multicast "all"
address, I do not get a reply. I'll start checking here on my side for
the problem.
Thanks,
Sean

Hello,
I was wondering if I ping or ibping the 224.0.0.1 address should I be
receiving a list of the nodes that have multicast enabled?
ibping takes a LID or GUID (and not an IP address) as an argument so
this is not supported by ibping.
224.0.0.1 is the all (multicast) hosts on the subnet so I would expect
only those hosts supporting IPmc to respond and they may indicate some
other IP interface other than IPoIB.

Thanks in advance,
