yes, but when the patch lands in git, what remains is only the change-log comment and not anything else, so one someone looks on it without this info, what can he/she do? please add it when you resubmit the patch.

QoS manager finds the IPoIB broadcast group that was created for
pkey that is specified in the qos policy file, and updates the
broadcast (multicast) group's SL to match the SL that was specified
for this partition in the qos policy file.

OK, got it, so just to make sure I got it, without this patch, the QoS (SL) for the per partition ipoib broadcast has to be specified through the partition manager config file, correct?
