I wrote a 'Quick Start with Pax' tutorial, that can be found at:

Cool. I have taken the liberty of replicating that page, just in case the
original disappears for whatever reason. Shout if that is not Ok. You find
it on http://wiki.ops4j.org/confluence/display/ops4j/How+to+use+Pax+Logging.
Some smaller changes has been made, and formatting is not yet perfect.

The Pax Logging page also refers to the article in its small "How To"
section, and being a child of the page.

I also added a method to the Logger class, namely the
log(Level, message),
that is currently not available in the pax log4j release. Is there a
reason for
that ?

Either it didn't strike me for being useful, or it could be that the Level
class (which must sit in pax-logging-log4j.jar) resulted in an endless chain
of other classes being brought in. Feel free to modify the sources in
subversion, and I'll take a look to make sure nothing goes wrong. Commit
