I am not so sure. Look at the Techne project where Rick and Toni are
intending to work only through issues, and more or less discuss things
via Jira comments instead of normal mails. I see a similar behaviour
in e.g. Felix where issue tracking is heavily used. Good thing is that
discussions are extremely focused on the issue at hand, thus are
easily trackable and solvably. New topic = new issue.

I find this rather smooth, since I can track all activity via
subscriptions and don't have to go in and frequently poll some other
system. You can always filter the incoming messages on subject. But of
course that is only my perception.

However, I agree that probably not everyone is interested in some
projects, for instance Infrastructure. That might be worth it's own
list, or we just disable mailing to general and send notifications on
these projects to [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Any thoughts on that?
