Look at the Techne project where Rick and Toni are intending to work only through issues, and more or less discuss things via Jira comments instead of normal mails. I see a similar behaviour in e.g. Felix where issue tracking is heavily used. Good thing is that discussions are extremely focused on the issue at hand, thus are easily trackable and solvably. New topic = new issue.
I find this rather smooth, since I can track all activity via subscriptions and don't have to go in and frequently poll some other system. You can always filter the incoming messages on subject. But of course that is only my perception. > At this time I'm not interested in tracking them, so that's a lot of > spam for peeps like me. However, I agree that probably not everyone is interested in some projects, for instance Infrastructure. That might be worth it's own list, or we just disable mailing to general and send notifications on these projects to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Any thoughts on that? /peter _______________________________________________ general mailing list [email protected] http://lists.ops4j.org/mailman/listinfo/general
