glad you found it useful - I've copied this note to the OPS4J discussion
list
in case others want to pitch in wrt. the idea of using logback, or making
the
backend more configurable...

in the meantime you might also want to look at the logging bundle from the
"Sling" project, which already uses logback to provide logging for OSGi:

Thanks for manufactoring this bundle, it saved me a lot of time!
