Thanks Peter, As the POM describes - "Produces distribution unit, that can run as standalone OSGi platform." Something that Craig has been trying to do in recent times (if I understood his efforts correctly). Intend to produce a distribution unit all ready to be run as an application even if there is no Internet connection available, i.e. will have Runner + platform bundles + application bundles. But configurable enough so that by running the mvn package with appropriate parameters would produce the unit that we want.
May be that I could have used the Pax-Construct, but at this stage, I did not want to complicate it with this feature. Also, I intend to produce a structure something similar to tomcat distribution, something on which deployment experts can play around knowing nothing or very little about OSGi/pax-runner as such.
