Did you encounter any problem with JSTL?
I recall that in the samples, I used to prove that Pax Web Extender
WAR actually works, JSTL was used and it was working.

Also do not forget to read the section about TLD over here:
http://wiki.ops4j.org//x/CgNN.
And there is still one open issue that may not affect you for the
moment: http://issues.ops4j.org/browse/PAXWEB-86 that I can spend time
on it if requested.
