Alin Dreghiciu commented on PAXEXAM-14:
---------------------------------------

The POM scanner is quite useful and is good that we get it in.
But there are some limitations regarding PAx Runner pom scanner:
* it does not do POM interpolation (using the parent pom)
* does not resolve the placeholders. And I know that people like to use for
example <version>${pom.version}</version for dependencies on modules within the
same project.
* no transitive dependencies

Another "disadvantage" is that you will always get the same set of dependencies
provisioned.

> Provides better maven integration by declaring maven artifacts to provision
> inside pom.xml

>
> Motivation:
> o Provides a central location to declare maven artifact version to use.
> o Provides an easy way to provides pax-runner cache and download source code
> (debug).
> o If profile is used, it would be trivial to re-run the same test with
> different osgi container/bundles combination.
